By | May 12th, 2016|Categories: Lifestyle|Tags: , , , , |0 Comments

It's no secret that I'm just as passionate about animals as I am about food. In fact, the food choices I make daily have a lot to do with my love for animals as well as my health and that of the planet. However, along my vegan journey I've had people critic my advocacy for animals as being less important than other issues facing our world today. However, if you go just plant based or vegan [check out my blog to know the distinction] and [...]

I was having a conversation with my mother in-law a while ago about our freedom of choice in this country[US]. For context, my mother in law, like many immigrants, left her birth country due to governmental rule that took rights away from its people. She was making the argument that we are lucky to be able to have an abundance of choices for foods at the grocery store. She stated, "no one dictates or makes me eat anything. I make that choice for myself based on what I want". I found myself asking, is that really true? Are we truly [...]
