First, add your broth and liquid amino to a small pot and bring to a boil. While broth is heating up, take your slab of tempeh and slice into about 1/2 inch strips. Once broth is starting to boil, gently add your tempeh strips to the pot and reduce heat to your lowest setting that still allows for the broth to simmer(small slight bubbles, not a full boil). Simmer tempeh for 30min.
Once tempeh has finished simmering in the pot, take the strips and place them on a baking tray. Coat each strip with your bbq sauce using a basting brush. Begin heating a grill pan or you outdoor grill. Once hot, place tempeh on grill and cook just until you form grill marks. Make sure to coat each tempeh with bbq sauce before and after turning them over on each side.
Once grill marks form remove from pan or grill and serve over greens, in a salad, in a sandwich, or on its own. ENJOY!
